Intimate Urbanism in Bridgeport

Site: Lafayette Downtown Gateway, Bridgeport, CT, USA

The aim of this project is to create community spaces in an organic way offering a lifestyle that is healthier, happier and  more connected as the root of all emotional difficulties is lack of togetherness. Pedestrian streets are a big part of this effort by getting people out of their cars and into the streets on foot or bicycles completely changes the social dynamic of the city. Lush green open spaces are created connected with community spaces for children to have the freedom to play and explore while adults relax and unwind.
